Advanced Gateway for the fast reading of data from meters with DLMS and MODBUS protocol. Instantaneous conversion of reading to JomEMS.
The DLMS protocol (Device Language Message Specification) is used in the context of the meters and in particular of energy meters for the reading of operating data. The reference standard is IEC 62056. It is based on services that allow reading the objects, defined OBIS, into which are mapped the operating values of the meters according to standard profiles.
MODBUS Protocol is a messaging structure, widely used to establish master-slave communication between intelligent devices. A MODBUS message sent from a master to a slave contains the address of the slave, the ‘command’ (e.g. ‘read register’ or ‘write register’), the data, and a check sum (LRC or CRC).
Since Modbus protocol is just a messaging structure, it is independent of the underlying physical layer. It is traditionally implemented using RS232, RS422, or RS485
JomSoft provides advanced gateway through which is possible to read by communicating with DLMS or MODBUS protocol, data provided by the meter equipped with DLMS or MODBUS protocol.
The meters actually already used are:
- Pilot
- EMH meter
- Actaris SL7000
- HOLLEY
- MPI
- KAMSTRUP
- ELGAMA
- CLOU
- STAR
Features:
- Internet connection via Ethernet or WiFi
- Optional GSM/GPRS modem for wireless internet connection
