MPI digital kWh energy meters are manufactured using advanced energy metering chip,
digital sampling, and SMT technology. They are designed and manufactured according

The DLMS protocol (Device Language Message Specification) is used in the context of meters, particularly energy meters, for the reading of operating data.
The reference standard is IEC 62056. It is based on services that allow reading the objects, defined as OBIS, into which operating values of the meters are mapped according to standard profiles.
MODBUS Protocol is a messaging structure widely used to establish master-slave communication between intelligent devices.
A MODBUS message sent from a master to a slave contains the address of the slave, the command (e.g. "read register" or "write register"), the data, and a check sum (LRC or CRC).
Since MODBUS protocol is just a messaging structure, it is independent of the underlying physical layer. It is traditionally implemented using RS232, RS422, or RS485.
JomSoft provides an advanced gateway that allows communication with DLMS or MODBUS protocol, enabling the reading of data provided by meters equipped with these protocols.
